Dr. Mohammed Favas. K

Dr. Mohammed Favas K. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arabic at AIA College, Kuniyil, affiliated with the University of Calicut and aided by the Government of Kerala, India. He is an Arabic Literature scholar, accredited freelance Arabic–English translator, and trainer who conducts expert sessions and workshops in research, academic writing, Artificial Intelligence, and translation. His training programmes are designed for students, researchers, faculty members, and academic professionals, with a focus on practical and responsible applications of AI in academic writing, research, translation, and the humanities.

Dr. Favas holds a Ph.D. in Arabic Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, where his doctoral research focused on contemporary Arabic epistolary novels in digital spaces. His academic and research interests lie particularly in Digital Humanities and Arabic Literature, alongside translation studies and contemporary Arabic literary and cultural practices. He has published ten academic works, including a book on translation, in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes.

As a researcher, translator, and trainer working across languages, literature, technology, and education, Dr. Favas brings an interdisciplinary perspective to his talks and workshops. His areas of expertise include Arabic Literature, Digital Humanities, Arabic–English Translation, AI and Translation, AI-assisted Academic Writing, Research Methodology, and AI applications in humanities research. He is available for expert talks, keynote sessions, faculty development programmes, workshops, and academic training programmes.
